yes, so I am confused about how modding is currently working in Skyrim Special Edition, am I able to go to the regular nexus forums and download mods and will they be compatable for SSE, or will I have to wait for the mods to be "ported" or whatever the wording is to SSE. If I have to wait for them to be ported, is there a self porting tool I can download so I can download whatever mod I want the it will update it to SSE compatability? thank you for the answers!!

From what i uderstand one of the problems is waiting for a version of SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender) to be made that is compatible with the new Skyrim 64bit architecture as a lot of Mods rely on SKSE.

As for the ones that dont need it I think a majority of them will still need to be re-done or at least tweaked to run smoothly on the new SE Version of Skyrim.

As you probably know, Skyrim isn't exactly the most stable game in the world as it is so better to be safe than sorry.
