Every time I try to log into the mod server it shows me the logging in message and the game crashes right after that. The game is already added as an exception (I added it) and I even tried to run it with my antivirus disabled. I do have a router do I need to set a port to it too?

That's why steam workshop is a thing Bethesda why you would want to make your own system that's not integrated and works poorly is beyond me
