BUG : A Book in your Inventory does not display a TXST Alternate texture when one is correctly applied in the Creation Kit.
Version : PC Skyrim Special Edition with SSE CK
Steps to reproduce : Open a mod containing edited books (such as Book Covers Skyrim) in the CK. Navigate to the STATIC for a modded book. Select the mesh for that book. You will see the view of the mesh in the small Render window and a list of textureable TriShapes in the mesh. Select the one corresponding to the Cover and double-click on Add Texture. You will then be asked to select a Texture Set. Choose one (such as ArkayBanner - it will do for testing). The view of the book in the Render window will update to correctly show the Texture Set applied to the outside of the book. Save the plugin and load Skyrim SE.
Expected Result : In game, view the book you modified in your Inventory. It should have the selected Texture Set on the cover. In this case it would be a copy of the Arkay Banner wrapped round the outside.
Actual Result : The Texture set will be ignored and the book will only display the texture that is specified in its NIF file. Examining the ESP in SSEEdit will show the TXST correctly specified by the CK but it is ignored.
Oddly enough, the World view of a Book will respect the TXST specified by the CK and will correctly display it but the Inventory view ignores it. The importance of having this behaviour corrected is that it removes the need to have individual meshes for the Inventory view of each Book. It is the Inventory mesh that is the large one since it contains all the animation bones.
This bug has been present since Vanilla Skyrim.
