Porting mods to SE

Hello

I've been porting some mods to SE for personal use.

Plugins from Skyrim work in SE with loose files.

But if I pack the loose files with the new Archive.exe tool - from the SE Creation Kit - they don't work.

How do I use the new BSA archive tool?

This information is likely to be of value for other mod authors trying to port their mods.

I read somewhere (I think a post from Arthmore) that using the standlone archive tool does not work with the SSE version of the CK. You have to pack the BSA from within the CK itself.

I found out why. The reason is that by using mod folders extracted to directories outside the standard Data folder does not work right off the bat.

Simply put, extract the old BSA to a "Working" directory.

Select "Root Dir:" to the working directory you're using.

Then add the files you want from the working directory.

Don't forget to tick "Retain Directory Names" and "Retain File Names".

Quick and easy porting of old mods to SE edition :D
