In the end it won't really matter to me as I'm buying an Xbox One early next month. It would be cool if a few edited existing armours popped up in the mean time. I'm sure other PS4 players would be happy to have any armours that look different too.
It will be interesting to see if any significant bump occurs in Xbox sales from this situation. I wish you would consider a PC instead. Even a $280 PC with a (upgrade) $50 GC would be better than a console if modding is what you are after.
That is what I got my goddaughter (a walmart e machine and an a amazon used low profile diamond radeon graphics card intended for lap top gaming) for her first personal PC years ago and it ran Skyrim just fine. Even using my "resource heavy" combat mod and other mods such as one that put Dogmeat in skyrim as a companion.
You might get a PS4 mod that allows you to use "non playable" armor. So in a way that is getting new armor. Non playable armor is armor you see on NPC but you could not equip yourself. this can easily be changed in the CK. But in some cases there may not be first person models for the armor so this is not "doable" for ALL non playable armor.
