***SPOILERS FOR DAEDRIC QUEST "The Break of Dawn"*** (XB1)


So I had found Meridia's Beacon and took it to Mount Kilkreath for the quest to get that achievement and as I beat Malkoran it told me to take the Dawnbreaker from the pedestal, yet next to Malkoran's body lied a second Dawnbreaker. I picked it up and took the other from the pedestal and ending the quest. So now I have two Dawnbreakers. Has anyone else gotten double Dawnbreakers? I'm sorry if this is out of place, really my first time with forums.

Yes, it's not that uncommon to get a duplicate of certain special items like that. It happens because where the sword sits in that room is a special object, like a sword dispenser, not an actual weapon item stuck in a holder or in a stone, and it reacts to impacts from the physics engine. You can make those duplicates happen just by using the unrelenting force shout on it or shooting it with a fireball spell. Chances are, one of those combat impacts happened around it ,which caused it drop a copy. There aren't very many of those fixed display objects in the game, but there are a few. The Bloodskaal Blade from the Dragonborn DLC is another one.
