I've been playing since Skyrim SE came out and played it on 360 originally. I've mostly just. Even wandering around and. It following the story. I've mostly stayed around Whiterun. I decided to do the main story and go talk to the Graybeards and all that. I went to get the horn, got it from Delphine and did her quest. I went to go bring the horn. Acknto tje Graybeards and the quest marker was all the way,basically off the map. The only one at High Horathgar is Borri. I'm playing on Xbox One so I'm not sure what to do. I never experienced any glitches this big with the original version. I don't want to have to start my game over.

The old stand by is reload a previous save. Just to be sure, you saw the beds correct? there is a side wing, they may be sleeping. There is also a courtyard out back that comes into play in a bit, make sure they are not out there. Best of luck

There has been issues with NPC's not showing up in correct areas sometimes way off the map and not being able to get to them.

The quest the OP mentioned was one of the first ones that had this issue.

I believe the Beta patch for the PC has this issue fixed. No idea when it will be live on the Consoles.

I've tried reloading an old save. I was hoping there was a mod to turn off borders so I could just walk to the location but there's not one on Xbox One yet. Hopefully the patch comes soon for consoles.

Currently experiencing the same issue with Mirabelle in the College of Winterhold quest line. She has grown wings and flown into the sky.

I had the exact same thing happen and it turned out that the dude that I was supposed to see was kneeling down praying in a side wing.


I also had it happen with another quest but I had done so much since the last save that I didn't want to go back so I just went on to other quests while checking back periodically and the glitch finally cleared up,that worked a couple of times for me,I hate having to go back to prior saves.


The only glitched quest that never reset itself was that one with the Frost Mage that wanted help whacking her ma and I don't think that that one ever unglitches.
