Hi all

i know this has probably been answered a million times, however im new to the game and the forums so looking for some help.

i read everywhere that leveling skills is more important than the character level, with that in mind im trying to find the easiest/fastest way to level destruction.

iv read loads of guides but they require me to be a specific level and have specific spells. im pretty new as i said so dont have a high level or a load of spells, i have flame and spark .

any advice on the best way to level it would be really appreciated. im aware that posts like this can attract trolls that will abuse and flame me, please dont as we ALL start somewhere and need guidance from time to time.

Just messing with you. I'm out of loop on fstest leveling methods, but here's one that I remember. Go to Dragonsreach in Whiterun, and buy a Fire Rune spell from Farengar, and activate the Mage Standing stone. Potions of destruction and magicka cost reduction gear helps too. Now go outside and use the rune spell to set the local wildlife on fire.

Yeah don't panic.

You'll be fine.

If you head from Helgen to Riverwood that's where you'll find the first 3 Stones. Select "The Mage Stone" to allow magic to develop faster.

Then grab some spells and use them.

To level up Destruction you have to connect with a Destruction spell.

As suggested above, zap local wildlife and other enemies.

Conjuration is a great complement to Destruction because your Summon can occupy an enemy while you playfully zap them with your Destruction Magic.

You can find more spells in the cities. Most Jarls have a court mage. These guys will sell spell books.

Also there is a Mage's College to discover and join. These guys sell spells too.

Don't obsess. It will serve you well.
