So I'm encountering these two bugs very consistently, and imho, they are serious bugs, at least the second one.. First one is related to steam achievements, apparently I can only unlock them the very first game session, when I make a character. Next time I load up the game I can no longer get them. This is of course a problem, because I obviously can't get to level 80 in one game session, for example.
2nd one is very serious, and I can't seem to fix it by restarting steam, nor by re-installing the game. I created the first character so I can get the achievements out of the way so I can start using mods, but then made a second one so I can take things more in my pace. After a successful session I came back tomorrow only to realize none of the saves remained. I used quick save and quick load normally, auto-saves and mentioned quicksave even seemingly overwrote the old files, but when I booted the game the next day there were only save files from the original character, and even the quicksave that normally loaded the new character the day before, now loaded the old character again. I tried deleting both (especially after I realized that my lv33 character didn't get any achievements after escaping Helgen, and was apparently locked from them for some mysterious reason). I tried to recreate this several times, made a character with no existing save files, made another one, and other characters than the first one simply refuse to remain saved. This is very gamebreaking imo. Not to mention all the other issues I'm experiencing with saving the game that I've been talking about in other threads.
Anyone else experiencing these, or am I among the rare ones that picked the shortest stick? If this is not so uncommon, I mean Jesus, Bethesda, you really did it this time.
EDIT: figured out, probably, why I can't load another character. Because when you've got one loaded in-game you can only load that character's save files. In that case, neat, but the problem is, Load button on the main menu doesn't work if I have more than one character. What a mess.
