Hello everyone, I just signed in to the forum because I need some light on how to proceed now that the Special Edition is out. Any help would be very much appreciated.
I have a few 100's of hours in the base game (also completed Dawnguard and some of the Dragonborn DLC), so I feel like it's time to start a new journey with as many immersion mods as I possibly can (I'll put my PC specs down below). That being said, I beg the question:
Should I stick to the base game, or should I go with the Special Edition?
From what I understand the main reason to play the SE on PC is the 64-bit engine, which is supposed to have a much better performance. How much better, though? 'Cause it seems like it's gonna take a very long time for the Special Edition to catch up with the amount of content available to the base game, and I wonder if the performance will be THAT much better to make up for the wait.
I also feel like there are many great mods that will never be ported to the SE, so that's another reason I would stick with the original Skyrim. I'm really lost right now so any input from you more experienced players would be more than welcome
Here are my current PC specs, just in case:
Processor Intel® Core i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz
