Quick(Possibly Stupid) Question

Post » Mon Nov 14, 2016 9:44 am

So I have never made a mod myself before(though I have used mods before, though only simple ones), but I find myself in the position of wanting to create what I think should be a simple mod: removing the cap from the number of children you can adopt. I feel terrible for having to choose between the orphans(or kids like Sissel in Rorikstead), and I'm a Dragonborn who is also a master thief as well as constantly doing quests and having loot to sell. I can more than provide for more than two children, and I don't want to leave Sofie in Windhelm, or Blaise in Katla's farm, or any of those poor kids who suffered under Grelod's rule.

So, my question is: After looking through the Creation Kit wiki and doing some googling, I haven't found any information as to a)if this is even possible, and b)if it is, how to accomplish it. I don't want to do anything besides allow my character to adopt more than 2 children, but if removing that cap is possible in the first place, is there anything anyone can think of that might also need to be changed?

Any information is greatly appreciated!

It is very much NOT a simple mod as there are multiple scripts and quests that are involved in the Hearthfire adoption system that need to be altered to allow for more than the default number of 2 adoptions. It has been done before however, look here:
