Hi,

Today when I opened the game for the first time I opened the mods section in the main menu and it asked me to log in with my bethesda account, when I tried to enter my log in details (I used my Email address as my username here) (which I'm certain are the correct log in details) it gave me the error message "Could not log in to the Bethesda.net servers.".

When I tried logging in with my User ID instead of my Email address it game me the error message "The username\password are invalid."

Does anyone know what is causing this issue and how to solve it?

My specs are:

GTX 1070 Gainward Dual-Fan

i5-6500 3.2GHz

16GB RAM

Windows 10 Pro

If you need any other info on my specs just ask and I'll reply with the details.

If anyone has any idea how to solve this I'll really appreciate it.

Did you make sure that you don't need to verify the account by clicking a link via email or similar?

I'm pretty sure i've already verified the account, im gonna double check right now and post an edit with the results

EDIT: as i am unable to find a way to see if i did or didnt verify the account i just created a new bethesda account and verified it. im gonna check if it works

EDIT 2: ok, i just checked it with my new account and i still get the same error.

Can you login via Bethesda.net?, that should be the same account system. You did create a Bethesda.net account not a forum account (gamesas.com)?

Also try downloading the Bethesda.net Launcher, to see if you can login through that.

Any player who want to use hosted mods on Bethesda.net need to have the account there linked to the account on Steam.
