After the eye of magnus explodes, Mirabelle told me to find the arch mage. Find him outside, but NOBODY really paid much attention to him being dead and so the containment quest never got prompted. I've got people just walking around his corpse and when I go inside the hall where the eye is and the thalmor guy is just looking at it from the outside instead of him doing his thing inside and I can't even damage him, sometimes he's just walking around.


I've completed all known winterhold & college main and side quests, I've started the dawnguard questline (not the DragonBorn dlc yet) I've wall glitched through labyrinthian back door and got the staff of magnus and still no changed text prompts for mirabelle to tell her I got the staff. No way to go to a previous save since this was probably 40 levels ago when the containment quest never started.


Anything else I could try before just starting a new character just to get this trophy?
