I always get the same error message over and over again after finishing the first part of installing the Bethesda.net Launcher.

The setup simply throw an error saying something about "I need to check the file permissions for the directory and try again".

What permissions, I don't understand what the file permissions has to do with the second part of the installation of Bethesda.net Launcher since SSE is already working and my account https://beta-community.bethesda.net/topic/10930/error-when-installing-bethesda-net-launcher is also linked to my Steam account?

If it matters the Bethesda.net Launcher setup is a beta version, but I wonder if I should install it in the default installation path e.g C:\Program Files(x86)\Bethesda.net Launcher.

When SSE came out I got a free upgrade and the installation of the Bethesda.net Launcher went just fine, until I removed everything and now the Bethesda.net Launcher setup doesn't work. What am I missing here?

Are you trying to install the launcher into the SSE install directory? Cause you don't need to. In fact you shouldn't.

Yes, I am trying to do just that. Like I said it worked when SSE came out, but it could be what you just mention perhaps Bethesda changed some things.
