Breezehome Crash - assistance with diagnosis

I am experiencing a puzzling issue, and I am hoping someone here might help me figure out what is causing it.



The game crashes to desktop every time I attempt to enter Breezehome. I have a number of mods running, but none that I am aware of that directly effect this home. I also use an SSEEdit patch and a Bash Patch. Other than this the game is running beautifully, and I am able to enter homes that are modded with no issues. This crash occurs even with save games loaded from the Nexus, that pick up in the game with an already purchased Breezehome.



So, I guess I am wondering how I might use SSEEdit to check what's dumping the game, or to use whatever advice might be offered to fix the issue.

Well it would help to know what mods you are using.



maybe it is the SSEEdit patch.

Thank you for replying Erzherzoghans. I just tried to run a clean start with no SSEEdit patch, with the same results.


I have what appears to be a fix for this, see post below.

UPDATE - well, I added this mod, and it fixed the issue. I would still like to know why it's an issue if anyone knows.

A mod alters the Breezehome cell's navmesh... except it's based on the original mod. There's an incredibly annoying bug introduced by carelessness by BGS in that cell: they deleted the NavMesh to generate a completely new one. Like with Oblivion and everything after it, the game will crash if a mod tries to alter a form in a master file that is deleted in an override in another.
