Starshroud Glade? Anyone been here with more info?

So I accidently stumbled across a place called starshroud glade, after exploring starshroud ruins (slightly West of reach cliff cave, southEast of markarth). Inside the glade theres loads of fog and some kind of boss, with a daedric summoning thing??? I killed the creature (some kind of ghost rock thing shooting lightning) and it had a really long name. Now that iv killed it the areas empty and I'm not sure if there is anything to do in this room?? The most puzzling thing is iv searched online for this glade and iv not found a single piece of info on its existence- let alone any info on the creature I fought or why?


There was also a group of the Thalmer in the previous room and an enemy named "Inquisitor Anderion" with a note you can get from him called anderion's orders... I cannot find anything online about this either. Like this whole place, enemies and quest (if it's a quest) doesn't even exist???


Has anyone else been to this location and if so did you find anything??

That sounds like a mod location/quest. Definitely not vanilla.

Yeah I thought so too... but it's strange how i can't find anything about it at all on the Internet.


There's more quest things - found a journal about a gate to oblivion - i think that's meant to reference the thing in the glade. Written by the "spellweaver" which was referenced in the other note by the inquisitor. So there's clearly a story here somewhere or a quest. But nothing has come up for a quest.

Also I have just checked through my mods and I can't find any active mods that are for this area. I have only added a few new quest/location mods and iv been through them all - none take me here.

Check for the NPC's that are mentioned...the inquisitor Anderion...as that might be the easiest way. I've run across places that mod's have added... that I wasn't sure which one... but I knew they were mod added.

Okay found out the creature is a storm astronach by the name of Zymel Mirapharrus which apparently appears in elder scrolls online. I don't know if this is a subtle nod to that or not, but I'm working on solving the mystery :)

Ah okay I think iv completed this mini quest thing.


After defeating zymel, you get a key from him and in the crypts there's the quarters for the spellweaver. In there, there's a locked container and inside you get an essence extractor filled with the "essence of autumn". This goes into your active effects and gives you 100 more magicka and an additional 50% stamina and magicka regeneration. Plus increases the power and duration of spells.


:) incase anyone wanted it for themselves in Thier game. If it's something you would like let me know and I'll post my current mods and hopefully you can find it too.

Final thing to add, on top of the above rewards there is also a starshroud sanctuary withing the ruins, inside there are "race pedestals" you can active any of them you want - or all of them. They give you active effects related to that race as well as your already active effects. For example:


You can gain disease resistance from argon ion blood, resist fire from Dunmer blood, resist frost from nord blood ect ect and have all active effects at once. Although some will have negative effects such as daedric blood giving you 25% resistance to fire, but 25% weakness to shock.

Envy123 it's definately worth checking out and has some good buffs once completed. Be warned that zymel is a bit of powerhouse though, lots of hiding needed from its extremely accurate shock attacks.


I won't include aesthetic mods, just mods that could contribute to it appearing. I found it by accident after installing the **Map Markers Unlocked Mod** by "jguenard" (I am playing on xboxone however, so if your using other consoles or PC I don't know if it will be exactly the same)


Other istalled mods which may or may not be needed:


-legendary creatures mod by "Hroll" (although it doesn't mention zymel in the added creatures list, so probably not needed)


-Falskaar by "AlexanderJVelicky" (doubt its needed, but I thought I'd add it anyway)


-the forgotten city by "ModernStoryteller" (probably not needed at all)
