High resolution textures for Dungeons?

Post » Sat Dec 24, 2016 10:19 pm

Dear adventurers with arrows in the knee,

I'm quite there with HD textures, my Skyrim SE looks stunning with NobleHD and Osmodius, but... Don't know why, still dungeons appear Vanilla. Shouldn't they be included already in these texture packs?

Is there any texture mod devoted to dungeons?

Or am I missing something with the mods I mentioned?

Ice and rock caves look OK instead.

Thanks!

You are talking about nordic ruins I suppose? Because the two mods you mentioned do not replace those textures, Noble HD does all other kinds of dungeons (dwemer ruins, caves, forts...), but not the ruins (even though it says so in the description), Osmodius' doesn't touch dungeons at all. Can't really recommend a mod, though, because I am not using any texture replacers for dungeons (or most of the other things, just the official HD textures for now), but http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37496/?? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39874/??

Thank you Pherim, exactly that is what I'm indeed searching for.

Though those mods you linked are made for original skyrim, not sure they apply to SSE as well?

Ah, sorry, missed the SE part. Comments say the first one (Beauty of Skyrim) is compatible, Vivid Landscapes - Dungeons apparently not, as it also edits meshes and adds parallax... maybe if you only use the textures? If you want to use that one, of course, and not the other. I'd say, better use the first one. Most pure texture replacers work fine, as far as I know, except landscape textures, because the SE has changed normal mapping on terrain, which makes them look shiny with most old mods. As these are only used on meshes, they should work. Anyway, the author has announced that he intends to release his mods for the SE until the end of the year or early next year. So far, he has only done "Ruins Clutter Improved", though.
