I was never a fan of his music but he always came across as a genuinely nice guy and was very generous and charitable without making a big deal of it.

See 2016 wanted Carrie Fisher but since she survived, 2016 felt the need to take someone else in her place.
Anyway sad to hear of his passing, I actually have a Wham album probably the last CD I bought before getting my songs digitally from Amazon.
