Legendary difficulty pure warrior using only 3 skills

Post » Mon Jan 02, 2017 2:47 pm

I have created a new challenge for myself and anyone willing to try and learn melee combat. Pure 2 handed warrior, no magic, only 3 skills. Heavy armor, block and 2 handed is allowed to use. I did something very similar but I was trading and lockpicking and now none of that. No stamina regen items to spam power attacks, no followers, no magic, no scrolls, no crafting, no cheats, exploits, free hits/free levels on friendlies, no purchasing training, no skill books, no sneaking, no stealing except for quest items, no poisons, everything banned except for 3. total masochist. Health restoring food items will actually be important just so I can save on some potions. Might make updates on the progress if anyone is interested. Have fun and I'd love to hear about your challenge, none of them are any less important to me!

I never play on Legendary but every so often I like to fiddle around with weird restrictions, just for the fun of it. My most common ones are these:

* No potions

* No spells

* No scrolls

* No Alchemy

* No Smithing

* No Enchanting

* No equpping pre-enchanted gear

* No Shouts

* No helmets

* No shields

* No followers

* No Birthstones or Guardian Stones

* No map-based fast travel

* Only low-level armor and weapons

* Level only three skills (I use a mod for this)

* And perk only the trees for those three skills

I do a few of these things even in my regular games. I never use map-based fast travel. None of my characters have ever used a helm or shield. None have done Enchanting. Only two of my characters have ever done enough quests to have Shouts. And I'd say about half of my characters never use potions.

Finally someone who does justice to fur and iron only. Usually people grind enchant, alchemy and smithing for hours just to get 500dmg iron daggers and such. Almost as if I get to fight your character on this difficulty. One shotted by fur and iron wielders : D

OP....good luck with that....prepare to die...a lot.

A great tank of a warrior will fall to the first dragon breath or mage spell on legendary. Armour does nothing against magical damage and you will be getting it three times stronger than Adept.

That's why crafting goes well with high difficulties....it balances nicely when all used together.

But...enjoy the experience :)
