Hi all!
Does anyone know if it's possible to display an mp4 or some other video file in the main menu in Skyrim? I'd like to make a mod that has a video of Alduin's Wall that plays when you log into the main menu.
Any ideas? Thanks!

I know you can replace it as a "wallpaper" static type image.
You can also replace the Bethesda logo before the menu with a video too, but it can't be skipped. I think? Don't remember now. lol. You probably wouldn't want to see that every time you launch.
You know, I didn't even think about it being an opening cinematic. That might even be more appropriate, as what I am envisioning is more fitting for a cinematic sequence rather than a main menu (although I think it could work for both).
I think the main menu is pretty limited (like you said, its easy to set a different wallpaper). There is something like the Skyrim Animated Main Menu Replacer by ZurinArctus85 but that is a static image albeit animated.
Here is a rough mock-up of what I am envisioning.

Working on a better one using footage from the official trailer.
Its a bink video file (BGS_Logo.bik). I don't know of any bink video creating/editing tools but its a fairly common format amongst video games so I'm guessing its done with professional authoring software. I don't see why any replacement bink video of the same name wouldn't play but I havn't tried it.
