In the companions mission "Proving Honor" when Farkas transforms into a werewolf he drops his sword when he releases you you can pick it up which is useful at the start of the game it worked on PS3 but Idk about other devices

It works on PC as well. I never use 2h weapons so for me it's just something to sell....

Although, as of late, I've been using the Patch and CRF and if I do work for Aela first, she's the one who goes on the quest for me. Which is a surprising and nice change of pace. No sword drop though.

He carries a plain Iron Greatsword for a spare.

But maybe you got something else that gives him another Skyforge Greatsword...
