Hi Folks, Got a brand new PS3 250GB with all latest updates installed, Got the limited edition of FA NV it works OK so far until I try to enter THE STRIP, As soon as I enter the game stops working, screen goes black, nothing happens. Try going back, cant do that, try restarting game etc nothing works. Damn expensive game that is not working, please advise.

I have recently run into this problem as well, but when i load a previous save i can enter. i think i might have something to do with the quest entitled " the white was", because soon after i got that quest, i tryed entering and it starts loading, then the screen goes black and i have to shut down and reboot.

The problem is probably due to the quest called "Debt Collector." If you've killed McCafferty and taken his hat, you'll only be able to enter the strip by either wearing it or the 'old cowboy hat'.

Go to mick and ralphs in freeside and buy an old cowboy hat off the one who sells the guns, wear it everytime you enter new vegas and you should be ok

I didn't go to mick and ralphs, I just grabbed my snipped rifle backed up to the oposite side of the gate where I was" hidden" crouched and shot the from on the upper right bridge in the monitor and grabbed the key off its body
