Can I do that instead of following the last section in this http://www.gamesas.com/topic/106063-morrowind-mods-faq/#entry21189077 (scroll down a little)? The most obvious reason to do this is for mod testing purposes.
Why I ask because right now I have Rome TW, both retail and Steam version, installed on my computer.
Of course I already had the retail version of Rome TW installed, but after I reinstalled Windows I *forgot* to delete the retail version before I bought Rome TW on Steam.
The only thing I needed to do was to create a shortcut for the retail version of Rome TW and once I did that the original Rome TW was working again.
