I find it rather interesting that this hasn't been a thread yet, or at least recently. So let's start one up, shall we?

Dagoth Ur is a fascinating and well-written character, one of many with ambiguity surrounding them. But how do you personally interpret him? Was he just an unfortunate soul who was completely betrayed by the Tribunal and possibly even Nerevar, and subsequently corrupted by the Heart of the Lorkhan? Is he an unjustified, ego-maniacal jerk? Or is he simply a pawn of the real brains behind the operation, Fargoth? Something else?

(I didn't make this a poll because I'm not sure what would make for good answers to choose from. But it is more interesting to hear the unique answers down below anyways.)
