Have done 4 fresh installs of OB. Cleared up all files so nothing was left, even cleaned the registry and still crashing when ah start it. Not getting any error message, just goes right back to the desktop. Have the newest versions of Pluggy, OBSE, Bash an OBMM installed. Also running BOSS to set my load order. After 4 hours of trying to get this to run I am about at my wits end an ready to say to heck with OB.

Yes I am running vista, but BOSS ad all my other utilities have worked fine up til now.
any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated before I pull my hiar out

have you tried running oblivion mod free? and wheres your install path?

Is Oblivion installed outside of C:\Program Files and UAC? Are you running version 1.20416? Have you built your Bashed Patch? Did you eliminate the configuration files that are locaated in the same folder as your saved games when you did clean out Oblivion?

If you're crashing at startup most likely that is a missing master issue.Check Wrye Bash and the BOSSLog to see what is missing,it will be the color red.Also DO NOT just dump a buttload of mods in at once and think it's ok.It's not,that will also crash your game.Put in a spoiler your mod list from Wrye Bash,right-click on the file part in the mods tab and pick list mods.Copy and paste to a spoiler(or in a reply if you can't find it).

Yes, have run bashed patch. OB is installed in the default directory, never had an issue with it being there. Yes, when I do a fresh install I deleted all files, including those in the Documents/Mygames folder. UAC is off an yes OB is patched to 1.20416.

Thanks Lonewolf, found the issue. Had one mod that apparently was corrupted during a download. Have fixed the issue an the game is running fine now. Been gone to long from OB an forgot about every way to check for issues. Thanks for the reminder.
