unfortunately I doubt it the Xbox 360 is geting on in years its about 5 years old and there are newer and better processors, ram and video cards which the Xbox 360 pales in comparison to. Still it runs great games like Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas just keep clearing your Xbox 360 cache or make more room on your hard drive so delete so some old stuff you don't use anymore

Yes, loading times are very long. And no, clearing the cache doesn't help...I've tried.

I am having no problems with load times. Funnily I say to myself, I have no time reading the tips they give while the game loads. Did you perchance install the game to the hard drive? I have herd people say they have long loads but once installed to the hard drive they have all disapeared. I installed to my hard drive right away so I can't say if there is a difference. I have no waits at all, 5 seconds or so.

they are absolutely loathsome for me. it took over a full minute just to load a small room, i'm so close to beating the game (on hardcoe yay) but I'm going to try turning off my 360s to let it cool down or something, these load times are killing me.

Did you install the game to the hard drive? I installed mine before I start and loading time is fairly fast.

Install on HD, clearing you cache every 4, 5 hours...NOTE: clearing your cache will make you download the available patches over and over again.

Have you reached the strip/vegas area and outskirts yet? I had no problems with load times at all until I got closer to vegas, once I got to the crimson caravan/gun runners area of the map the load times started to shoot up dramatically. Previously, load times were 10-20 seconds at very most, now it's often well over a minute or two. The game's been installed on the hard drive since the beginning, doesn't seem to be helping.

I hope it's not going to keep getting worse, not confident though.

Some others are saying, if you play for an extended amount of time, that it gets slower and slower. The advice IIRC is to get out of the game every couple of hours. You might try that a couple of times.

I've been installed on the HDD (just to help with disc/disc drive wear) and typically this is suggested (some games have been reported to actually perform worse installed...I think Halo wars was one of them) but my load times were 30 seconds on the average even before I had game meltdown.
I do suggest turning of the xbox after a good 4-6 hours play. I had one marathon play earlier in the week (13 hours, embarrassing socially) and gameplay was significantly sluggish (Framerate struggling to keep up). I gave it a couple hours And it performed fine.

Unfortunately or Fortunately for older players like me who can only play couple of hours each night, we never have to worry about turning it off every 4-6 hours! lol

P.S. For some of us who rarely turns our computer/laptop off instead of closing the lid of the laptop or other sleep/hibernate mode, you will notice slower performance after some amount of time. Reboot is the only way to get the speed back. A gaming console is just a computer with a dedicated purpose.

I have it installed to HDD and have no problems with the loading times, however when using a usb the loading screen turns black for up to 5 secs before the auto-save kicks in, maybe this is an indication that the loading is effected by the condition or type of memory device you are using, in the case of the HDD maybe you have a lot of fragmented data or simply its becoming worn over time, only a theory so who knows?.
