Random, yet persistant freezes.

OK, so what about the random freezes. Especially in my case where the game freezes no matter what I do, go to Vats, buy from a merchant quick travel or anything that requires a new load sequence freezes the game. I have tried multiple cache clears and restarted 6 times in a row doing six different things and got six different freezes. These freezes are preventing me from enjoying this game as I think it going to mess up my Xbox restarting it over and over again. Is anybody else getting these random yet persistent freezes?

I have been getting random freezes too. Most of my freezes occur when I attempt to press a button on the controller. Pressing B to open my Pipboy freezes, pressing causes a freeze, and et cetera. It doesn't happen every single time I press those buttons but whenever it randomly freezes it is linked to this about 80% of the time for me. It's a bummer.

Mine has started to do this more and more. It happen twice when my battery on my controller got low. The lights on my xbox controller started to blink as to tell me my battery was about to die and it froze up. It also freezes up during some heavy combat. This usually happens after an hour of playtime so i don't know if its my xbox or if its the game. Either way it does get annoying, and it does tend to ruin the game to an extent. This is my first play through, and i am not investing to much into it, but on my second go around its going to be much more organized. On the second play threw i will be taking my time and playing all the missions to every extent, and it would be really great if those issues could be patched up before hand. LOL Then again i am not there boss.

Very wise. I rushed through my first playthrough so I could get the achievement for beating it on hardcoe. I will not be starting a second until all these problems are fixed, I don't find it worth the risk.

I am just furious. I have the urge to go and buy the game as I know it is going to be fun. But the experience I had from my rental, I know I need to wait until the game is patched a few times and am positive that its not going to freeze my Xbox multiple times in a row. Most likely causing a RROD to appear. I have been scanning these boards for more freezing issues but have not noticed any. Is it only me having these freezes occur during multiple events? Such as; resting, saving, buying from merchants, entering vats, quick travel and pretty much anything else that requires a new screen.

My Xbox was recently refurbished as it is still under warranty and every game I own plays fine off the hard drive and off the disc. Only Fallout New Vegas gives me issues. I know that it is not my Xbox causing these issues. Although some think that the new Xbox is not having as many problems, I do not feel I should have to go out and buy a new Xbox unit to play one game. This is not a plausible fix and the pure mentioning of it infuriates me. Bethesda and Obsidian need to collaborate and get these fixes out promptly, and next time need to be done before shipping.

It drives me insane that these game companies send out games that have major bugs and issues in them. It is poor communication and lazy programming that causes these issues. If they are going to release a game in its Beta phase they should label it as such. The reviews this game received even after the bugs and issues being reported are mind boggling. I do not understand how a game can receive a 9/10 and 8.5/10 when it is not playable by many of the people who own it. This whole mess makes me angry, and a game is supposed to be fun to play.

I totally agree about the reviews. I don't understand how any reviewer could fully appreciate the game and not encounter these game breaking issues. I don't think anyone would argue small bugs are tolerable.

No, it is not just you. I have just quit playing... well, because my game is continuously in freeze mode... entering VATS, using my Pip Boy for anything, just walking a few yards and even when trying to save. Basically, I'm stuck and can't continue on because when I try it just freezes.
It's not your xbox... I don't have these issues with other games. I join you in your anger. At least you didn't buy it... I bought the collector's edition... lots o'caps!

No I did not encounter an issue like that. I made it to be a level 7 and then it started to freeze every time I did anything. Just freeze, freeze, freeze and freeze some more. It's truly ridiculous.
