Cobl Main.esm
Oblivion.esm

1st deadly sin of Oblivion modding: Oblivion.ESM not loading first in your load order. I'm sorry, but you have committed modding heresy.

Get http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516 now and repent your heathen ways!

:teehee:

More serious note: Not loading Oblivion.ESM first is really bad, the engine relies on it to be there. Please download the above utility; it will put your load order back together.

have you got the latest version of OBSE? If not then its pretty much a must for mods, especially Cobl.

Also try http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22410 but you NEED OBSE.

You could also try Gamebooster 2.2 to close any uneeded services or processes. It looked like a low fps on that video, is that what its like normally?

Oblivion installed in program files? UAC still on?

What background programs are running to get your page file usage up that high?

This would be your problem (and what Hey You was referring to)

You need to uninstall Oblivion and all related components and reinstall to someplace other than the default Program files directory.

Alternatively you can turn off UAC (User Account Control)...NOT a good idea.

Or you can right click on the Bethesda folder and try changing permissions and turning off UAC for it and all subordinate directories.

So I am supposed to reinstall it to the normal Program Files? I figured it was installed to the other one for a reason so I just left it.

No, avoid program files like the plague. Install to someplace like C:\Games\Oblivion. That avoids the whole UAC mess. (User account control, win7's nanny....)

Oh, Why is it that out of the 5 games I have installed on my comp. Oblivion is the only one that does this? Also steam is the only program that runs in the background.

Oblivion tends to beat the crap out of hardware, and stirs the harddrive quite a bit. UAC gets offended when programs try to play in its sandbox (program files folders), and cause some interesting problems. NOT installing to program files bypasses all that nonsense.

Also, your page file usage is almost 2 gig.... so, there is a bunch of stuff running in the background, you don't necessarily have to physically fire up a program for it to be running. All the little icons in the system tray by the clock are background processes. See what all is there, and what you can get rid of.
