Lightning Seams

Post » Wed Jul 14, 2010 11:31 pm

Almost a year ago I asked if there were any fixes for the big large lightning seams caused mostly by Illuminated Windows and TLM... well.. I've no problem with the smalls ones but some are just to huge for me to ignore... At one point there's total light... and a millimeter away it's utterly dark.... So have there been made fixes over the time? or could I do it myself throught the .ini file?

I think the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19510 has some lighting related fixes, but I don't think it completely eliminates the problem. Still the patch is absolutely essential so you should get it either way.

I already have the latest installation of the patch.. I can recheck tomorrow if I have some of those fixes active but I think I already have...

You can get rid of most seams, but unfortunately, it requires a lot of work to get rid of them all. I suspect most of the randomly placed meshes in the game are covering either texture or lighting seams...

uh? How do you do that? I assume by covering them with objects?

You can do a lot to fix the problem by editing the .ini file, as I explain on my mod list, but you can't eliminate the problem entirely.

Ok. Btw, I remember visiting your mod list about six months ago. Why do I still remember? You are a heck of a writer/critic. I was laughing from start to finish. For a moment I thought you were some sort of professional comedian gone astray and finally finding your true calling in videogames.
