Advice needed for new rig

I've got 22" Flat Dell Monitor TFT, good enough for me, so we're talking tower only.
What I want - good quad core CPU, good power supply, good graphics card, 2 hard drives, good cooling. Blue ray would be nice.
Dell's XPS Studio 8100 comes to ?950, with ATI 5770 1GB card, so - something around these specs and if you can make it less than 800 I am going for it.
Ah, I saw your build... 1000 range... good

Much better than the dell and ?6 more.

I really would steer clear of DELL at all costs, they are one of the worst companies to go with. You will end up buying a whole new computer the next time you want to upgrade something, or end up paying DELLs over priced prices. Just look at how much they charge for extra support. If you must buy a ready made one go anywhere except DELL.

If you are trying to get the most bang for your buck, you might want to consider an AMD quad core over an Intel. I just got the Phenom II 965 and Gigabyte board from newegg last week for about $360 (CPU was about $180 and board was about the same). I was originally going to buy another Intel chip when I went online but quickly changed my mind when I compared specs and prices. Quite impressed with the performance as well.
