Bug - Unable to complete "Silent Treatment" or "

I know that the sticky says that this forum isn't for troubleshooting, but I was hoping that if I put this out here maybe an admin would see this and float it up. At the very least it can be a cautionary tale for any people around where I am in the story.

At Camp McCarran, I took on a side-quest to help Lt. Carrie Boyd interrogate a prisoner. This is done though a series of conversations that I participate in or watch, on both sides of a locked door. After Boyd enters and exits, the door unlocks and I can go in to talk to the prisoner. When she goes in again, it locks again. I saved my game at this point in case I didn't like where the conversation went. Here is where the bug comes in. I finished up the conversation, and then tried to go outside. My save file got corrupted, so I loaded the old save file in the middle of this interrogation scene. Boyd leaves the room, and the door locks behind her. I talk to her, and the only thing she says is "Let's finish this up, then we can talk". Nothing else. I try to pick her pocket and look for a door key. No key on her. So, this interaction is glitched and I can not finish it anymore on this save file. So I decide to move on. I start "I Put A Spell On You". One of the first tasks is to talk to Boyd about something unrelated to my last conversation with her. She responds with the exact same "Let's finish this up, then we can talk". I would like to, but I don't think that is an option.

Long story short; do not save in the middle of the prisoner interrogation or you run the risk of permanently breaking the Boyd NPC on that save.
