its a game that can played atleast thru many times, so many quests and variety of character builds. you couldnt possibly do everything in one play thru. you can allign to different factions, and play a new game everytime. why not just start again?

Because, for a start, I enjoyed the path I chose. Secondly, I think it doesn't take a genius to work out that 27 hours of something you've already done is tedious and boring. I only presume you haven't got this problem and it's easy to say that from the situation you are in.

Whatever the patch is, I still have Veronica stuck in a state where she wont move, after her quest line. Tried to send her back to the Lucky 38, now she's gone. And I still have Hardin and the Elder stuck in there speech lines, telling me to come back later. Meanwhile, 20 plus in game days have passed. This prevents me from gaining the respect of the brotherhood AND gaining power armor training. Great patch.

You are aware that when you clear your cache, you uninstall the first patch and have to re-download it?

how do you go about re-installing it? Not trying to be smart, but i actually cleared my cache after the update, wasnt aware thats what it would affect.

also: there definately is a new patch. I was playing the game til 2 in the morning, and just this morning, it updated itself.

Did you have the first patch installed prior to this? Also, could you tell me what patch the game is currently running on. If it is anything like FO3, it will be in one of the corners of the main title screen.

Why not just start again? Because there are parts of the game I wouldn't want to do again. The game is fun, but I'd never want to go through Vault 34 again, or do the Boomer artillery run again.

I was getting this before the first patch. I think your best bet is to send her back to where you met her (188 something...) and hope the next patch fixes it.

DO NOT...EVAR!!!...mention Vault 34 again, hahah. My original game crapped out right after Vault 34. I found a new save 6 hours back, and I'm not past my freeze point PLUS another 12 hours...and I STILL haven't gone back into Vault 34, lol. Now, I know it'll be much MUCH easier this time around cause I know where everything is and how to open everything...but man...Vault 34 is the epitome of hell on earth in a video game if there EVER was one.'

Well if memory serves me well, the first patch which "didn't do much" was released on the 22nd. So if you have played, received that patch and the one you mentioned; I'd like to think that is the patch PS3 users received. But I wouldn't know due to no communication.

What scares me is the complexity of the game, with so many things going on I'm not sure they're going to be having an easy time finding the root of the issue.

i figured out the reason for the corrupt files in my game, i received the mercenary bonus when i purchased the game. what happened was, i upgraded the merc grenade launcher with the longer barrel mod and now all my saves wont work because the game doesnt recognize the wep anymore and crashes. i'm really hoping they fix this and my saves will work again because i'm not going back the 20 hours of play time to my last save before this happened. too bad, i was really enjoying the game, but i'm not going back that far and redoing everything.

Honestly, the person who said the new patch was out not only got my hopes up, but the hopes of a lot of other people....

What would make me feel better, is if they actually told us if this save bug is possible to fix, and when this patch could release...

i dont mind loosing my games that are messed (i suffered the DLC glitch not the corrupted save files.) as long as i can get the guarantee that if i start a new game i wont have to worry about any problems like this or anything.
