"Solstheim's favorite furries are back"

Post » Thu Jul 15, 2010 6:23 pm

Was that a quote of someone who saw the imagine of the troll and got it confused with a werewolf or is that an actual quote in the magazine? Ive seen it used many instances here on the forums.

Can anyone clarify if it was in the magazine or a misunderstanding.

Obviously....

I'm speaking of the quote someone said about "Solshteims favorite furries are back"

If that quote was in the magazine or someone just came out and said it.

Wasn't that a thread title when the scans started coming up? Someone got overexcited until one of the Bethesda peeps shot it down.

I want to know too, no more beating around the bush, lets just clobber the elusive truth!! Did the magazine say that word for word or not? And if so is there anything else they could be referring to besides werewolves?

Not entirely sure, I didn't see it.

I hope they are talking about horkers, not silly werewolves.

Crew them horkers.....they don't even eat people or tear them apart. They sit around all that flatulating and snorting like pigs.

Question was rhetorical, that's where I remember seeing it from.

I would be delighted to have a merry crew of horkers!
however, don't underestimate them by their docile appearance, they can be quite crafty...

All the excitement was caused by a white furry creature in one of the magazine pictures and some jumped to the conclusion that it was a werewolf. It was confirmed by a dev that it was a picture of a troll.

I suspect that when the game comes out, and there are no werewolves (and I have no idea of whether there actually are as we are only talking about the picture) there there will be the usual "Bethesda lied" comments because of the conclusion jumping that goes on about almost everything.

Khajiit.

Haha......ha. We all know Khajiit's are in other games and not strictly Solshteim...then again, same thing for the Lycanthropes.

Hey Booboo, :P

That's why I asked if the quote was from the magazine since the picture was a troll and not a werewolf. I thought that maybe the person who wrote the quote thought that the creature was a werewolf.

But I am curious if that was him, or if the quote came from the magazine.

More like: "Bethesda FAIL"

Because if you ask me it would be very true, fail on these fronts: Lore wise, environment wise, fan exception, extra cool factor.

True, it would be unwise to not add werewolves in Skyrim. Ever since Oblivion, people wanted werecreatures.

Well, since it has not been confirmed yet! I am guessing the statement "Solstheim's favorite furries are back" was in reference to the ice troll that was confused for a werewolf. So many people were disappointed that werewolves were not in oblivion how can they not put them in skyrim. I'm hoping that ice troll pic was shown just to tease us then reveal werewolves later on.
