Which companion is best

Post » Fri Jul 16, 2010 2:59 pm

so far i have only had 3 companions, Raul, Boone and Veronica

out of all of them i have to say Veronica is the strongest, Boone placed second, and poor Raul was in last.

what about you

Cass and ED-E or perhaps Rex but only if you have the mod that makes him a normal dog.

Veronica all the way, with he secondary quest, armor becomes ALOT stronger for her, and during said quest you get like, 4 different sets of power armor, so now I have her decked out in it, while 'falcon punching' everything in sight. If she gets overwhelmed she's screwed, but thats what Im for. Great companion, and the AI on all the new ones are LEAGUES ahead of FO3's. I hated having a comp. in FO3, in NV I can't imagine it without her. (Well, I could. It would just require ALOT more ammo.)

For now, Veronica. If only for her sense of humor!

She packs a mean punch too..

I like boon.

gameplay wise I find his perk very helpful when you're fighting dirt colored enemies on dirt colored backgrounds. also so often I get charged by something big and evil and just as i'm turning around screaming "oh $#*&" their head explodes.....good looking out boon.

I like his character too. especially when you get close to a legion camp and he starts a conversation saying "just letting you know I'm about to kill a lot of [censored], hope you don't have a problem with that." that attitude is how i'm playing my character so it makes for a good fit.

I've only had Veronica and Rex following me so far but I don't have any complaints about them! Veronica is a lot stronger than I expected she'd be.

I've only had Boone and Ed-E so far but I really like them. Boone is just gangster, head shots everywhere (before I figure out where the attack is coming from sometimes). Ed-E just cracks me up with is "Charge!" type of music he plays when it's go time. It's like having my own little (floating) R2D2.

After reading here, I am looking forward to finding Veronica and her Falcon Punch. :)

Boone is really good. he is pretty balanced

Veronica can deal a ton of damage, but cant take much of it. but she has "one punched" so many of my enemies.

they are both awesome. but i also want to try out Cass

Boone is great i like his attitude first of all, not to mention he's really good with his gun .. and melee weapon  He's been a great companion so far...

I'd like to try ED-E out, i didn't realize that was a companion so i kinda brushed it off.

Come on, Veronica of course. Who wouldn't want Felicia Day to be following you around?

Cass, because I'm melee and rely on alcohol.

ED-E, because that long range notice perk is awesome and his questline is pretty cool.

If you are playing a long ranged sniper character then ED-E + Boone is the epic combo. There is a downside with this. Boone is a kill stealer.

Boone and EDE.

Since I'm a sniper myself, having Boone as a spotter to light my targets up is very handy. Also the fact that he's very good at shooting enemies.

EDE is a great secondary because of his 250 storage capacity. Not to mention, the music he plays in peculiar situations or in battle is funny.

I can't say who is the best in combat, having only used about half of the companions so far. However I think Raul has one of the nicest companion perks since anything that can make my crap last longer is much appreciated.

Only found ED-E and Boone at the moment and I think I missed my opportunity to get CASS not sure. So far I like Boone cause he does super high damage at long range and the svcker is just freaking awesome in CQC with his machete. Did this wicked jump, twirl, slash attack similar to the MC Blade in the movie Blade played by Wesiley Snipes.

Haven't found rex yet, but i'm still wandering around seeing what I can see.

I went with Boone and ED-E as soon as I could. We make a perfect sniper team. The last thing the enemies won't see is us! B)

Since I played a non-combat chemist for my first playthrough, Lily + Super Sledge was amazing to have. ED-E did help me avoid enemies for a time, though I imagined his buzzing would annoy my Myron-esque character, so I left him at the 38 in lieu of Rex. After that, I experimented with a few more mixes and found Boone and ED-E to be a great combo.

1) Lily + Super Sledge; Rex. Best if you don't want to get in close. Lily can tank like none other.
2) Boone + Anti-material Rifle; ED-E. Wonderful for unarmed/melee characters. Knock one down, move on to the next enemy. Your homies will finish whatever it is off before it can get up.
