Okay its been along time since ive upgraded my PC to really work with today's games & im looking to do so.

This is what im using ..... a alien ware PC bought in 2005

Motherboard: ? just note that its old lol.
CPU: Pen 4 Prescott.
Video Card: it was a NVIDIA 6500. it was up graded to a ATI Radeon HD 3850
Ram: 1gb . Now its 3gb

Now i wanna know if this CPU & MB is gonna be good enough for fallout 3 & the likes & would i have to upgrade my Video card to?

You would need to upgrade the Memory/CPU/Motherboard. And most likely the case is proprietary and wont fit that motherboard, so you may need a new case too.

No it would be fine, its a good combo. Just need to worry about the memory and the case then.

You would need a 64 bit OS to see all of the memory. And the memory you have now, is incompatible with the new motherboard. (You have DDR2/DDR and the new motherboard needs DDR3)

Looks good. What PSU do you have in your current PC? Is it standard ATX or a proprietary model?

Well by googling it, it looks to be a standard ATX. Meaning you could take it out and place it in the new build. (But the age of the PSU and the brand I would get a new one. Just putting it out there that you should be able to place the old one in the new build. Possible, but not recommended)

Well, brand is more important then Wattage. Corsair is a good brand I like to stick to. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005&cm_re=650w_corsair-_-17-139-005-_-Product This is more than enough to power what you want, but it also lets you expand in the future.

Not really, though you wouldn't be able to use all of the 4 gig. You can put 4 gig into an XP machine but but it will only use up about 3.5 gig. So there'd still be a benefit to going with 4, but it would be rather marginal.
