Enabling Object To Be Useable ?

Post » Mon Jul 19, 2010 3:42 am

Hey Guys. I've been messing about this last hour trying stuff out. I thought that If I dropped a Mattress into the wasteland at a convenient place for me I could then catch a quick nap. Not so simple to do as I thought so it seems. So how do you , after placing a generic mattress, Say BedMatress01Static , add the markers ? to make it into a mattress that I can use to sleep on ? I havent done anything as complicated as this yet so please be DETAILED :D I need it !!! Thanks again all !

Static objects are not supposed to be activated by the Player, they are mostly used for kit pieces and cluttering. To have furniture that the Player can interact with, use the items under World Objects > Furniture in the Object Window. If you enter "BedMattress01" into the Object Window's Filter then you can find several objects similar to the one you mentioned that can be activated.

As he says, there are positively bare mattresses which can be thrown on the ground and used this way, but you must pick the correct one. There's some without activation abilities and some which have it. The one that can be activated will be visible in the render window as having a blue figurine of a person standing beside it.
