Were you Bullied?

Post » Mon Jul 19, 2010 8:38 pm

Bullied in 7 - 11th grade, the time I entered the public system (was still in the same HS senior year, but I really stopped giving two [censored] and slept most of the time). Went to a college no one from my school was going to, turned a new leaf on life, and joined a fraternity. College has been the best years I have experienced so far.

Looking back, I should have broken their noses, even if it was in front of teachers, not that it would have mattered as they didn't do [censored] to prevent anything. Still very bitter about it. Going to learn from my mistakes of ignoring and trying to reason, and tell my kids not hold back and do what needs to be done, I'll handle the fallout.

Yeah, only really in year 7 though. Mostly concerning my height (I'm about 146-148 cms tall and am 21, though that's relatively normal for someone of my ethnicity), it was pretty intense and horrible; had kids throw things at me, slap me across the face, spit at me, call me names etc. Never got beaten up, though.

Funnily enough, it wasn't the "popular" or "attractive" kids doing the bullying, most of them were the people I hung around. They'd lapse into a friendly attitude at the beginning of the day, by lunch time they'd be horrible. Pretty confusing for a kid.

Otherwise, I got past that and so did a majority of the other kids and wound up being pretty personable and confident amongst people either way, I get along easily with most people from nearly all social "cliques" now and did during my senior years at school. Really though, confidence goes a long way.

I actually miss high school.

In retrospect however, the bullying affected my present motivation to show initiative and start new things. Could be worse.

I can't help but roll my eyes when my thirteen year old sister whinges about classmates stealing her elastics.

I was for a few years then I snapped and after that, no. No one died fortunately though I did put two in the hospital. Moral of the Story? Don't push people around. You have NO idea what goes on under the hood.

I was, for a week last year. I told him he had three chances and when he finally got to the third one, he was on the ground gasping for air with a busted lip, all in 2 punches :3

... I love you.

I was bullied all of the time.

It never really effected me though, probably because I had some great friends to support me. That and I never took what they said to heart. I didn't care about their opinions because I didn't care about them.

As a matter of fact I only got into fights to protect my sister from bullies. I remember when her and I where in grade school she would sit outside with her friends. Usually people would come by and tease them. One day a kid my age (a boy) threw snow in her face, I ran outside, grabbed a huge chunk of ice and gave him two black eyes.

There were other instances like that. But I think thats why my sister never had to experience what I did.

Right now I go to an all boys high school in downtown Seattle. Our weight room coach will actually let us have fights in class, as long as there is nothing broken or too serious. I've only ever seen one fight break out, and all that was done was setting up a 2:00 minute timer and once that went off it was over, or he was going to make it be over.

I used to live in seattle

I was that guy in Highschool who managed to be extremely nerdy but also for some reason mostly everyone liked. I could go from clique to clique and do the whole "Whats up guys"! thing and nobody would care. I also had extremely dangerous friends so i wasnt bullied much. Got in two fights though, won them both. Never got bullied again any form and if i did, i didnt care anymore
