fallout 2 end game help

Post » Wed Jul 21, 2010 3:28 am

does anyone know why i cannot get sgt granite to help me fight frank horrigan? i have a 80%+ speech and a very high intelligence. and also no matter what i do i cannot get the turrets to fight on my side. i have the presidential pass key but if i try to use the key on hte terminal, or use the terminal, or try anything at all it just doesnt work. im very frustrated right now because every guide and faq ive read, it should be simple to recruit granite, and reprogram the turrets.

needless to say i cannot survive the boss battle without the turrets or the enclave squad.

any help is appreciated.

I could never get the Presidential Pass Key to work on the terminal either - I think everytime I tried it, I got some weird response as if it thought I was trying to use it. Can't help you there.

As for Sgt. Granite, what dialog options are you using? Pretty sure you have to talk to him and his soldiers before passing a certain "boundary" or they will ignore you.

actually by trying again and again out of frustration i was able to get the enclave squad to help me so thats good. still cant get the damn turrets to work tho. i have the key on me. using it on the terminal says it wont work, and there are no options when using the terminal except, back or i think i should do this somewhere else. i dont get it.

Sounds hosed to me. You should have several options, one being to use the counter measures which then attacks Horrigan.

IIRC getting the turrets on your side requires a high science.

My suggestion would be Psycho up. I don't think it will help with Frankie's gun, but I think it will allow you to ignore all non critical turret blasts.

I think I had the Enclave soldiers distract Horrigan while I took out each turret, 2 turns per. I think they managed to whittle him down to 120 health before dying.

i didnt get the turrets to work but i was able to kill horrigan by saving after every critical hit and a lottt of reloads. i have to say i liked fallout 1 and 2 as a whole but damn is that turn based combat frustrating at times.
