Modding Help needed

Post » Tue Jul 20, 2010 6:41 pm

I've just started out in the modding business and I've already come across a few problems. I've tried creating an island with a military base on it, however whenever I load up the game, I find that the landmass and objects that I have edited and put there in the game exist, however none of the structures are there. But when I go back to the TES Construction Set, the program tells me that all of the structure are actually there, but htey clearly are not in the game. I've tried fiddling about with the mod, I've made sure that the esp. file is activated in data files and I've even tried loading it from a clean save but nothing has seemed to work so far.

Anyone know what to do?

have you ever installed a mod that requested you do a "clean save"? I have experianced similar problems - and so have those who tell you to clean save - and it's due to Oblivion and the Construction sets odd way of working together partnered with the data in your save file, that things like this happen. What you need to do is load your save game with your mod deactivated and save. The reactivate the mod and load your save up and everything should be beuno. if not let me know.

I tried doing that but only the edited land area appeared. since then i've found that i can place buldings and architectures from 'world objects/static/architectures' in certain cells on the map, particularly in area where there are already things such as caves or forts. it's a shame because i was hoping to create a new island and mod it to pieces but i can't seem to get it working in oblivion. also i've found that sometimes when i've deleted a bulding from the construct, it still appears when i load up oblivion. i've tried a few things but i think that the only way to fix this is to start a new mod completely.

my nod was created from a island I made from scratch and everything worked just fine. What I suggest is see if it works on indifferent oblivion. give me a DL link and I will take a look at it myself. Ian not going to make the nod for you, but I will see, or try to see, that the problem is.
