How do you think committing crimes will work?

Hopefully there will not be any http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/8207/imperialguardscumsense3.jpg, where they guards can detect you committing a crime well out of sight.

I would love it if when you killed someone and no one saw, you would go around the town and hear the townsfolk have conversations like

"Did you hear that npcX got murdered last night?"
"No! Do they know who did it?"
"No! There were no witnesses! But they're investigating it."

Maybe later a guard could ask you about the murder and your business in the town since you're an outsider, which would be a situation where the speechcraft skill would come in handy.


that would be really cool. Maybe a guard could ask you about it and if you had something stolen from that person or there house and the guard searched you and could find you guilty.

I think it will be based on how long it takes for the guards to work out who done it.
If its in a location that takes 10 minuets to reach, they will give you the bounty in 20
If its in a location that takes three days to reach, they will spend 3 days doing the investigation and you will end up with a bounty in 6 days after the murder.
If it takes them over a week to reach it there is not enough evidence, and you don't get a bounty.

The Radiant AI should have been improved and considering everything we do is tracked by the game, bounty should be managed better.

I truly find this as one of the most important aspects of Skyrim.

The ideas about making killing people spawn quests is fun. As of now, in Morrowind and Oblivion, there's not really any roleplaying purpose to killing a person. Often when you do it you just want his/her stuff. Putting this in the game would surely add some value other than loot.

But as said before in the thread, Radiant AI worked out reeeaaal nice in Oblivion.
