Post » Wed Jul 21, 2010 12:10 pm

Hi, I guess I'll get to the point. the hightmapper in the TES construction set is giving me alot of problems. every time i try to save a texture in the editor it just crashes the whole program. it worked fine till it chucked me out of the program once and it does it non stop now. if anyone has any solutions to this it would be appreciated and thanks in advance for any help.

The CS will crash if you try to save a landscape texture without saving the plugin first. When creating a new world space, always save before using the heightmap editor the first time.

The CS will also crash if the size of the file gets too large. Working on too many quads will crash the program. If you're working on new worldspaces, you should use TES4Gecko to merge all the separate parts into an ESM. If you're working on a worldspace already there, you must use multiple ESPs.

I thank both of you for your help the editor is a lot more forgiving now, and my new landscape is now locked in a master file :) thanks for all of your help!
