Also, I am really interested in any feed back. I would like to start by simply saying ,"Thank you!" to all who may read/reply to this story, and doubly so to those willing to critic it in anyway.

It has been years since I first gained entrance into the Arcane University, yet I still remember it as if it were just yesterday.
My hand reached out for the door to the lobby, but I felt a slight hesitation as it landed on the door. I'm not sure if it was simply fatigue from my journey, or something inside me that was warning me. Either way I wasn't about to turn back now I had worked hard to gather my recommendations, and it was time for me to reap the rewards. I took a deep breath, and felt a certain confidence take over, as I pushed the door open and made my way inside.
After entering the lobby I noticed that there was only one person present. The sound of me entering the room had caused him to look up from his book. He was a breton man in a robe sitting there alone. I decided to approach him while I had his attention, "Hello, I am Arcmon Vilnic." The man set the book he was reading down beside him and rose to his feet. I offered my hand as I continued, "I am new to the university." He reached out and received my hand, and with it I released a bit of my magical energies in hopes of landing in his good graces. "I have been told to seek out a man by the name of Raminus Polus. Might you know where I can find him?"
The man released my hand, and without a change in his demeanor said, "Why you just have. I am Raminus Polus, and it's a pleasure to meet you." I found myself relieved at the simplicity of finding Raminus, and listened on eagerly as he continued to speak. "I have received recommendations from all the local guild halls in Cyrodiil. You have done very well for yourself." A smile appeared on my face as I was happy to be complimented only seconds after arriving. "You may now enter the University. As a full-fledged member of the Mage's Guild, I now also promote you to the rank of Apprentice," He reached one hand over to the table beside him, and without breaking eye contact continued, "and grant you the Robe of the Apprentice." He held both his hands out before him one was holding a key and the other the Robe of the Apprentice.
I reached my hands out and took the gifts I was offered. It seems all my hard work didn't go unnoticed, and I was to be welcomed here. "Thank you!" I exclaimed as I slide the key into my pocket and began to examine my new robe.
"Why don't you take your time to familiarize yourself with what the university has to offer, and when you are ready return to me." Raminus said as he motioned toward the front door.
I was very happy to finally have access to the university and so I gladly agreed, "Sounds good to me." I made my way to the door, but before I exited I looked back over my shoulder. Raminus had sat back down, and was picking his book up. "Thanks again!" I added as I pulled the door open, this time with no signs of hesitation, and stepped out of the lobby.
