I've succeeded at crashing the game.

Trying to get back into modding, though I've always been abit of an amateur. I started off with a small house mod for Seyda Neen, the trouble is whenever I try to start a new game or load a game with the esp enabled it immediately crashes ... no little message boxes pop up or anything other than the 'Would you like to send an error report to Microsoft'.

This is the contents of my 'Warning' text, doesn't really look like it has anything to do with it.

Not able to find Forearm part in A_DarkBrotherhood_Pauldron_FA.

Not able to find Forearm part in A_DarkBrotherhood_Pauldron_FA.
Not able to find Forearm part in A_DarkBrotherhood_Pauldron_FA.

I'll do my best to explain what I'm doing, if that gives anyone any answers. In Seyda Neen I have created a new house 'Seyda Neen, House' with the door once belonging to Voduncius (sp?) changed to lead to this new interior. The initial interior consisted of my copying Voduncius house interior and pasting it to mine where I than began to alter and replace things (Removing the clutter, adding a few chests and bookshelves and finally a trapdoor) the trapdoor leads to another room in the same interior, a small storage room with alchemy jars (Courtesy of DM_Ingrediant_Pot_and_Sorter mod), which in turn has a ladder leading back to the first room.

Can anyone shed any light on this for a hapless newb? :)

TESTool:

TESAME:

Your mod just needs cleaning. The construction set has a glitch that accidentally adds "dirty" entries to mods.
Somehow your mod has made changes to the "Dark Brotherhood Armor". You can just remove them from your mod.
If you "clean" those entries out of your plugin, the problem will go away.

Often, when you save a plugin in the CS, it will add a set of 72 errors to the mod. These are known as the 72 "evil" GMSTs.
TESTool can remove those for you. For your problem though, you'll want TESAME.

If you load your plugin with TESAME, you'll be shown a precise list of all changes to the game that exist in your plugin.
Then you can just high-light, and press "Delete", and the change will be un-done.
Then just click "Save As" to save the new, clean version of your plugin. Then you can test it in-game.
Your problems should then be solved.

Keep these tools afterward, they will come in handy often during future mod-projects.
I hope this helps you.

The warnings that look like this: Not able to find Forearm part in A_DarkBrotherhood_Pauldron_FA.
have nothing to do with your mod at all.
Those warnings are common and harmless in everyone's game.

An esp that causes instant crashes like that is not very common though.
But like Gaius says, your mod very likely does need cleaning with those tools.

Should of mentioned I already cleaned it with TESTool ... will running it through TESAME also help? Or is it best to use one or the other.

Note: Probably should of posted this in the Construction Set forum.

Use both.

TESTool to clean off the "dirt", and then TESAME to make sure that nothing else makes it into the mod that you don't want.
This is just one of the common hurdles of Morrowind modding, but thankfully it's dealt with easily enough.
Much gratitude goes to the ones who make such tools, without these, we'd be in a sorry state! ;)

Lastly, yeah, this sort of topic is supposed to go into the Construction Set forum.
If you have any more problems like this, be sure to post there.

This forum is just for the mods themselves, so be sure to post a topic here when yours is ready for release.
We'll all be looking forward to it. :D

Well thanks for the helps ... I tried TESAME ... and removed certain elements to at least test if they where causing the problem .... but it still continues to crash. Maybe I'll just have to start again.
