Hi, I am thinking of a Lizzie Borden type char, using only an axe or knife and no armor. Would it be possible to only use melee throughout the game. The thought of getting up close and personal with an Overlord or Reaver is frighting, let along armored enemies. Has anyone tried this and if so what type of stats should I be thinking of getting.

It can be done

You'll want lots of endurance and to take what ever damage reduction perks you can get

stength adds to but it's not as essential

you will be going through stim packs like crazy, you might want to put some points in to medicine

It might be worth suplementing with some unarmed skill [at least 70] to get the paralyzing palm perk, that will take care of overlords and reavers

A lot find a high sneak skill to be important, I never did

Stock up on stimpacks, you'll need them.

Get a Shiskebab and the Pyromaniac perk. You will never go back to your axe again.

You’ll need something with a little range at some point. If you want to stay away from guns, then explosives suit a melee/unarmed character well and it’s great fun. Sneak will definitely be useful in the latter stages of the game especially with the crit bonus.

By the way it was Lizzie’s big sis who did the deed IMHO.

Thanks for your help. I just hope I can find enough stims to get me through even the first few levels. This should be fun or I will get tried of dying and go back to my guns. Wow I never even thought of Lizzie's big sis.
