Well you know Abiogenesis. Its the scientific theory which claims that somehow, through chemical reactions life emerged here and after that this Life evolved in what we are today.I think of this theory and about Life in Universe and there are some annoying points:
1)We've searched the Solar System and we've found nothing yet.Ok we've got many things to look(some moons like Europa and Titan are very interesting)however till now no organism is found.I am wondering:All planets and Moons(including Earth) have experienced various changes in climate, in landscape, in atmosphere. All Planets and moons have experienced big disasters.Still only here Life emerged(and actually Life survives for 3.8 billion years which is quite the time). Why only here?Science claims that Earth is a better place for Life to emerge but i am not convinced. We can only imagine the changes Earth experienced this 3.8 billion years.Life survived these cataclysmic changes. So this Planet was not always a better place for Life as we know it
2)Aliens havent visited us.Ok we are not very sure about this. But we could expect, if really Life is roaming everywhere in the Universe at least one advanced civilisation to make contact with us.Of course distances are huge still someone would expect a contact.
No contact till now.
3)Life has a certain Logic and certain traits. The question is how something so perfect evolved randomly from nothing.Isnt it too strange that science claims that all these wise characteristics that Life has were created randomly?
My point is that perhaps Life is something artificial but because we do not have any clues about a creator we try to explain it us a natural phenomenon
Ahem.
1) Yes. Yes it was. Compared to the other planets in our solar system, Earth is by FAR the most stable and life supporting of the group. Which planet did you want life to evolve on, for example? Our Moon (No atmosphere for it.)? Saturn, maybe, with its crushing weight? Pluto with its extreme cold and thin atmosphere that no life could survive on? Mercury and Venus maybe, with their boiling hot temperatures that would kill any life? Venus might have when it was younger, perhaps, since it was apparently very Earth-like at one point, but when the temperature rose? No chance. We haven't exactly gone spelunking on Venus for life, either. We have yet to test ANY of the planets very thoroughly for signs of past life: Only existent life, which of course, is impossible. While Earth has had its own cataclysms, there are only a few that have actually been too bad: And if you study the history of the Earth properly, you will note that these cataclysms always brought about mass extinction. Remember the dinosaurs, anyone? It always required life to recover, and indeed, life has come close to being snuffed out before: However, it's only BECAUSE Earth is so stable and normally cataclysm-free that it has lived as long as it has.
2) Aliens? Why would they have contacted us, exactly? Do you know how many stars are in this galaxy, alone? Do you know how many galaxies are in the universe? Do you know how immense of a distance that is, really? Even if they moved at the SPEED OF LIGHT, which is impossible by the way, they would STILL arrive only long after they had died, unless they were able to live for thousands of years. That's why we refer to a distance as 'lightyears', because that's how long it takes even light to make it to us. Nearest star? 4 light years away, which isn't too bad. Odds of them being on that nearest star? Absolutely astronomical. The odds are far more in favor of them having to travel hundreds of light years just to reach us... They would be dust by that time.
3) A certain logic and traits? I'm not sure what you mean by that. Life is NOT all organized and perfectly balanced. There is plenty of chaos in life, you can see it just by looking around. Hell, just look at humans! You think we're an advocate of balance? There are billions of us, billions! We're carving the landscape up and turning it into new and wondrous things, while animals die to meet our ever growing appetites. You think if everything were as pretty and balanced as you seem to think, we would even exist? We should have been run into the dirt ages ago, but we haven't been: We have progressed to become the dominant species on the planet, completely shattering the food chain, the ecosystem, and the laws of nature itself. Where else do you see something to balance us out? Nowhere, that's where. Similarly, you will see animals that are booming and driving other creatures extinct. Recall the cane toad in Australia? You think that's a nice and beneficial little balance there? Admittedly that was a man-made problem, but still. There is plenty of chaos to go around.
I'm not saying that there is a creator or that there isn't. I'm merely pointing out that there's a lot more to this subject than you're giving it credit for.
