So the things is, how is this game?
Fun.
How much freedom do you have in the game?
Well, a lot but not infinite.
You can't kill every single NPC for example, some of them are essential and can't die.
You can't kill children either.
What are you supposed to do in fallout?
Fallout 3?
Explore, do sidequests, play through the game several times and each time take on a different role.
Oh and find your dad.
Are there different types of loot?
Well, armor, ammo, chems, spoons, forks, sporks, weapons, bobbleheads, skill books, nuka cola quantumns.
How is the combat system?
Clunky, very dependent on VATS and with Broken Steel, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta expect to see a lot of damage sponges.
Different skills you can choose, once you level up?
Yeah.
Small Guns
Explosives
Energy Weapons
Melee
Unarmed
Big Guns
Science
Lockpick
Medicine
Sneak
Speech
Repair
What other games can you compare fallout to?
Well, none really, Oblivion comes closest but it's very different.
What are the good things about the game, and what are the bad things?
Addictive, fun, lots of great lore and... stuff..
Bad things?
Broken level system.
Unbalanced gameplay.
Poor writing at some parts.
Lesser graphics.
Unbalanced skills and weapons.
Unbalanced perks.
SPECIAL is crap.
Or is there anything you think I should know about fallout before buying it?
If you're out for an FPS like BF, COD or Halo where you run around shooting everything then don't bother, it's an RPG game played in first person perspective.
And you should buy the Game Of The Year version because it has all 5 DLC's included.
And I'm not 100% sure but the PS3 version has a lot of problems.
If you have a good computer buy it for the PC version because there's looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooots of fun mods to get.
And with the GECK you can easily create your own mods for the PC version.
But don't get me wrong, even though there are lots of things to complain about it's a really fun and addictive game to play.
