Problems exporting Nifs using Blender

Post » Sun Aug 01, 2010 11:36 am

I am currently learning to use Blender 2.49b and using Nifscripts 2.5.4.

After converting a .3DS model i downloaded from the net, when i try to check the Nif in Nifscope the model does not show in the view window. Anyone know what i am doing wrong ?

Edit. I can't import the NIf back into Blender which leads me to suspect that Nifscripts are possibly incompatible with the latest version of Blender ?.

Hello!

it takes long to import but it works for me in NifTools and in Blender. I use the same blender and nifscript version likw you. Maybe try it with the default import settings.

I can open the model smoothly in Nifskope, no problems here.
Wolly is possibly right, check last python/pyffy versions just in case.

Thanks for the responses which helped pinpoint the problem to NIfskope.

I was able to view Nifs properly in Nifscope , just not the ones i had made. So I fiddled around with varous settings in Nifskope , when i turned off the render settings then re-applied them after unticking the 'show hidden' box then re ticking it, the model showed up. It doesn't make much sense to me but at least it is working now :).
