Laptop Performance: Not so amazing.. I know my laptop (an Asus UL-80JT) isn't meant for gaming, but I can play Fallout 3 perfectly fine at medium settings at 1280x720 and still maintain a constant 30fps. Fallout New Vegas on the other hand fluctuates all over the place. It's fine while traveling and fighting mutants, but as soon as I come around NPC's my frame rate drops like a rock to the low teens. I tried the .dll fix and I got the infinite splash screen loop. Is there any way around this for Nvidia Optimus based laptops?
Laptop Specs: Core i3 330m ULV @ 1.2ghz (2.0ghz Turbo) // 4GB DDR3 1333 // 1GB GeForce 310m // 64MB Intel HD IGP // WIndows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
I know my drivers do need to be updated, I'm currently using the 257.21's, but according to Nvidia, until Asus updates the bios for my particular laptop any driver from the 260's and up will cause Windows 7 to lock up after logging in. Does anyone with the same laptop have similar issues or have you found a way to install the latest Nvidia notebook drivers for Optimus Laptops?
