What kind of ending do you want?

Post » Tue Aug 03, 2010 12:42 pm

Do you want multiple, but only one ending is real and canonical? Multiple endings that are all canonical via some crazy retcon like the Warp in the West (how many times can they get away with that, though)? One single ending? I'm leaning towards the first, personally, but I'd love to hear what everyone else has to say. Also, if you have another ideas that weren't mentioned, please discuss it.

I can live with one canon ending and several alternatives.

I'd like there to be many canonical ways to finish the game depending on what quests you did and how you did them, like the Fallout series. Or maybe multiple ways to do story quests, like for example if you were supposed to deliver a mango to X, but you ate it first or sold it to Y, you would fail the quest and the ending would be different. Just an example I pulled of the top of my head.

I really don't care. As long as the ending doesn't make me die, so that I can't beat the game and continue playing.

We could have one ending but hear about how the settlements and groups get on like New Vegas, maybe have multiple choice in guilds and settlement quest chains.

One single ending is good enough for me.

It's the journey there that matters, not the destination. And if the journey itself got a lot of twists and turns so the player can travel in different ways, I'm pleased.

Seeing how the game has (or atleast should have) muliple solutions and choices for everything I say it should have many different endings. Or atleast, to some degree. Maybe the main thing should be same, but yeah.

Also, you should be able to play after finishing the main quest.

Due to the Elder Scrolls I perfer fixed endings, but different ways to achieve the ending would be nice.

It's not the ending that matters, it's the journey. I didn't really even like Morrowind's ending that well, to be honest.

I'd like maybe 2 endings, 1 would be fine with though, but many ways to get there. If there are multiple endings, I wouldn't care if it were a canonical ending or a Warp in the West scenario again.

Also, you should be able to play after finishing the main quest.

That goes without saying. This is TES, not Fallout.
