I just decided to pop Oblivion back in to the CD drive today. When I was playing, however, the game would continually crash when certain conversation choices were made. I decided it would be best to reinstall the game.

The first time I did, I was given a CRC error informing me that "Voices1.bsa" was corrupt, or something to that effect. I walked away from the computer, and tried to install it again later. When I did, the installation made it past the Voices file, but got hun up on "Compressed - Textures.bsa".

My CD is almost immaculate, and I have wiped my hard drive clear of any old traces of Oblivion. My question: What in the world should I try now?

Clean the DVD drive and the DVD. CRC errors are a result of misreading.
